Well that escalated quickly…

Feather or Knot started basically as my wife(Rachel) and I(Hunter) started growing out our little hobby farm and our love of making and art.  We’re in the process of building our new lives on a patch of land we recently purchased and hope to continue expanding our current flock of Ducks and Geese, as well as moving into some other types of animals in the future.  We’re also slightly obsessed with making things.  I run a small woodworking and resin shop with access to many tools including a lathe and CNC router.  I also occasionally make knives when the mood strikes.  Rachel is the more artistic one, and she does quite a bit of work with hydro-dipping and acrylic painting.  We’re also looking to expand into many more things including glass work, and pottery in the near future.  So, you never know what may pop up in our store.

The other side of things, our animals.  I’ve always been absolutely fascinated by waterfowl. In the spring of 2020, we decided to start with a small flock of 8 domestic ducks.  Little did Rachel know this would spiral out of hand very quickly! Currently we’ve got over 60 birds in our flock ranging from domestic ducks to more exotic species such as Hawaiian Geese and Mandarin ducks.  We hope to continue our expansion with many more waterfowl in the future, as well as expanding into some other types of animals.

We hope to provide updates fairly regularly on the progress of the new farm as well as showcase and sell some of the things we make as well as some photography along the way.
